An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an ambitious, values-driven leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as Deputy Headteacher at the recently founded independent SEMH secondary school in Fareham, Hampshire. This role is central to shaping the strategic direction of our school driving curriculum development, improving teaching and learning and assessing the progress made by our students
The successful candidate will work closely with the Headteacher and Governors to deliver an ambitious vision for our students, staff and wider school community. As Deputy Headteacher you will lead whole-school improvement, oversee key operational systems and deputise for the headteacher when required
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Strategic leadership with the ability to set direction and inspire others
- Ability to lead on quality assurance and monitoring
- Experience of analysing data garnered from assessment and the ability to give constructive feedback both the staff and students
- The skill to lead on curriculum development and timetable
- Ability to develop an oversight of staff's current abilities and to develop relevant CPD
- To lead on the monitoring of progress towards the achievement of the School Improvement Plan and to contribute actively to the development of the plan for the next academic year using knowledge gained within the areas of responsibility allocated in this role
- The ability manage a range of middle and senior leaders across the school as directed by the headteacher
