About Sportfit
Sportfit works with young people from a variety of backgrounds to provide a safe, caring environment where they are able to flourish and create a life they are proud of. We offer bespoke support to young people across our supported accommodation provision, our residential children's homes and a bespoke education setting. All three of our services, as well as our Sportfit family of employees, are supported by our fantastic therapy department.
We support the local authorities we work with by providing quality accommodation, therapeutic support and a person-centred approach to all we do.
"I have worked in a few Support Worker roles and Sportfit is hands down the best. The encouragement and support from management have been great, and I am very happy working here. There is always someone on-call if you run into any issues whilst on shift."
Why join our care team?
Working with vulnerable young adults is a career, not just a job. It’s an opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s life, and we know first-hand how rewarding it is to see a young person thrive. Specialist care is also challenging, and at Sportfit we ensure all our employees have the training and support they need to excel in their career.
Our 3-step training plan is available for all our employees and includes:
• Teaching – classroom-delivered training, one-to-one supervision, shadowing and mentoring
• Assessment – written coursework and observation
• Monitoring and reassessing competence – continuous monitoring to ensure high standards of care
We also offer a competitive salary package, great benefits and a fun and supportive working environment with opportunities for development and career progression.
Our Services
Our services range from supported accommodation and respite care to activities and therapeutic care. Find out more about what we do.
Sportfit has 33 Supported Accommodation homes offering a wide spectrum of the highest quality person-centred support. As a young person moves towards independence, our experienced support team members enable seamless transition, from high-needs solo accommodation placements all the way through to independent living flats.
Situated in the New Forest, Lotus House supports young people in a safe, nurturing environment. Our aim is to empower young people, tailoring to their individual needs so they can make the right life choices. Lotus house provides a warm atmosphere, and aims to build positive relationships with young people.
Sportfit Education provides tailored education programmes for young people who are at a point in their lives where a more personalised approach is needed to help them engage and thrive. As an alternative education provider, we have a diverse range of teachers and mentors who can tailor a programme of study to each young person’s interests and needs.
We work with young people who access Sportfit Support Services through either residential support or education, offering an original bespoke approach to each session. This is tailored to the young person’s needs at that time and is a calming, non-judgemental approach to therapy.
