Beyond Limits, rated OUTSTANDING by the Care Quality Commission, is looking for an Assistant Service Leader to join our passionate and dedicated team. Location: Devon and Somerset
Hours: 37.5 per week
Interview dates: 13th and 15th of October
Contract Type: Initial 12-month appointment. Internal applicants will retain their substantive post.
In this role, you will be supported and mentored as you develop towards overseeing three individual teams. You'll play a key role in developing and inspiring teams, maintaining high standards of support and quality documentation, and helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of services. Alongside office-based responsibilities, you'll contribute to delivering our strategic vision by ensuring important information is communicated effectively across teams. You will also work directly with one person we support each week, where required, although this may increase depending on the needs of the teams.
As your confidence and experience grow, you will join the organisational on-call rota, providing support to teams across the South West during emergencies or when additional guidance is needed. This means you'll need to be resilient, calm under pressure, solution-focused, and able to support others through challenges. Occasional travel may be required to support teams or people we support during emergency situations.

This opportunity is an ideal next step for Team Leaders, but it may also suit experienced Senior Support Workers who have demonstrated leadership potential and are ready for a new challenge.
The post is initially offered for 12 months, with regular reviews, dedicated support, and the opportunity to progress into a Service Leader role.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good knowledge of Beyond Limits processes, including ISFs, Service Designs, Working Policies, HR and finance (for internal applicants)
