We are seeking a committed, compassionate and energetic PSHE Tutor to join our growing independent SEMH secondary school in Fareham. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to young people who thrive on personalised support, positive relationships and engaging learning experiences.
As a PSHE Tutor, you will play a central role in helping our learners understand themselves, build confidence, make safe and positive choices, and develop the life skills they need for adulthood. You will work closely with a supportive team to deliver high‑quality, accessible PSHE teaching that is tailored to a wide range of needs and abilities.
About the Role
As our PSHE Tutor, you will:
- Deliver engaging and meaningful PSHE lessons that support students' personal, social, emotional and health development
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of students with SEMH profiles
- Build positive, trusting relationships that support emotional wellbeing and behaviour
- Work collaboratively with the wider staff team to ensure consistency, safety and progress
- Track and support students' personal development in line with school expectations
- Model our school values and contribute to a nurturing, inclusive learning environment
What We're Looking For
We welcome applications from experienced tutors, teachers, mentors or youth workers with:
- A passion for supporting young people's personal development
- An understanding of PSHE or a willingness to develop expertise
- Experience working with learners who require additional emotional or behavioural support
- Strong communication skills and the ability to create a safe, respectful classroom culture
