We are looking for a Senior Team Leader to join a newly established dedicated team to work with Alfie, a young man who is leaving residential care to live in his own home in Dumfries.
This is a unique opportunity to work for an organisation who is a leading provider of personalised care and support. You will be using your leadership skills and experience to lead a team of specialist support workers, providing guidance and support to them and Alfie.

We are looking for:
Proven leadership experience in a similar role. You must be able to lead a team with confidence.
Someone with local knowledge, Alfie likes to be active, outside in nature, walking and climbing and you should be someone who can open up his world to new experiences.
Alfie needs someone who will stick with him as he embarks on his journey to independence and so you should have a good degree of resilience. Alfie will respond best when you can hold boundaries and manage challenging situations calmly and confidently.
This is a challenging time for Alfie as he navigates a newfound independence, getting used to his new home and making everyday decisions about his life in general. You must be able to adopt a compassionate and nurturing approach and be someone who genuinely wants to support him on this journey. His success will be your success.
The role demands a degree of flexibility. You must be able to work full time, with sleepovers and some on-call responsibilities. As the role and team develops your flexibility will be key to ensuring a smooth transition for Alfie.
You will be given every opportunity to succeed in this exciting role, as well as providing hands on support, you will have management hours to develop your team and your leadership experience.
