Position Overview - As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in leading and supporting a team of dedicated support workers. You will ensure that the highest standards of care are provided, promoting the physical, emotional, and social well-being of the children. Your leadership and expertise will be vital in creating a therapeutic environment where children feel safe and valued.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing day-to-day leadership and support to a team of support workers
- Ensuring the delivery of high-quality trauma-informed care to all the children
- Developing and implementing individualised care plans and risk assessments
- Fostering positive relationships with children, encouraging trust, empathy, and emotional regulation.
- Participating in regular training and workshops to enhance your knowledge and skills in trauma-informed care and related areas.
- Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, including Social Workers, Therapists and Educators.
- Contributing to the seamless operation of the home, from household chores to financial management
- Encouraging our children to explore new horizons and embrace their individuality.
- Being a listening ear and a source of encouragement
- Celebrating every milestone achieved by the children
- Guiding the children towards independence while fostering self-belief and resilience
- Carrying out supervisions
- Participating in on call duties
- Handling emergencies and challenging situations with calmness and professionalism.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to data protection policies.
