Registered Manager

At Sportfit, we believe every child deserves the chance to thrive. We're looking for a passionate Registered Manager to establish and lead a new children's home, creating a safe, nurturing environment where young people feel valued and supported.
Your Role
This is more than managing a home-it's about building a place where children truly belong. You will:
- Lead and inspire your team, ensuring children's needs are at the heart of every decision.
- Implement Sportfit's policies and align them with the home's Statement of Purpose for outstanding care and compliance.
- Develop personalised care plans that focus on each child's strengths and well-being.
- Work collaboratively with families, carers, and professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
- Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring every child feels safe and protected.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to meet operational and care goals.
- Support staff development through supervision, appraisals, and training.
What We're Looking For
You're not just a manager-you're a mentor and a leader. You will bring:
- Experience: At least 2 years managing a children's home and a Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification (or working towards).
- Understanding: Knowledge of SEMH needs and a trauma-informed approach.
- Communication: Ability to build trust with children, staff, and external partners.
- Compliance: Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations 2015, Children Act 1989, and Ofsted standards.
- Creativity: A drive to innovate and improve the living experience for children.
- A full UK manual driving licence and the right to work in the UK.
