The Role:
Next Steps Nursing Home is looking for an enthusiastic and highly-motivated individual with proven Nursing experience as a Charge nurse, to motivate, inspire, and lead the unit team in achieving high standards and promoting resident safety. The post holder will have a key responsibility for the quality of nursing assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation and associated care staff training issues to ensure that at all times residents receive an excellent standard of care.
Candidates should be confident communicators with excellent clinical and interpersonal skills, demonstrating flexibility, innovation, and a strong motivation for quality improvement. Proficiency in IT and the ability to use electronic care systems effectively are essential.
Candidate requirements:
- A Registered Nurse ( RMN) with a valid NMC PIN
- Working knowledge of the CQC standards
- Depth of knowledge of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguarding
- Must have previous experience working in a social care setting, supporting individuals with diverse and complex needs.
- Having some post-qualification experience in nursing
- Being adaptable and able to work as part of a team
- Having empathy and caring for patients and their families
- Having basic computer knowledge
- Knowing how to create care plans and being able to administer them
- Having clinical nursing skills
- Having emergency nursing skills
About Next Steps:
Next Steps provides care and treatment for adults, aged 18-65 years, suffering from a wide range of mental health disorders. We are part of Tristone Healthcare and provide gender specific services within Greater Manchester.
Next Steps offers mental health support and rehabilitation services in communities across North, Central, and South Manchester, as well as Bolton. Our priority is ensuring our residents are looked after using the needs-specific "right care in the right area" model of community inclusion. Our units run as small therapeutic communities, and we serve people with the most complex and challenging needs in the area. Next Steps currently offers thirty-six beds over six locations, with two new services currently being commissioned.
