Job Overview
We are looking for either 2 part time registered nurses or 1 full time registered nurse to work across our services at Seaside Care Homes. At Seaside Care Homes we currently have 2 registered nursing homes for young adults with complex health needs.
We fund all mandatory training The most important qualification is a caring, compassionate and patient nature, and a desire to have a lasting positive impact on the lives of the young people we support.
The role is as follows:
- To work to the CQC Essential Standards and legislation with an understanding of the CQC Key Lines Of Enquiry.
- To work within the laws of Health and Safety.
- Work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of the residents and their family
- To be a member of the Seaside Care Homes Ltd undertaking duties which will involve direct nursing/non-nursing and staff supervision/training.
- Ensures that the nursing care and practices in the Home reflect the care reflect the care needed for young adults with complex health needs.
- To work in accordance with Information Governance and Clinical Governance
- To work in accordance with Seaside Care Homes Ltd Policies and Procedures
- To work with Managers to ensure Safeguarding within the organisation
- To participate in the on-call rota approximately 1 week in 5 weeks
- To maintain accurate and up to date records of all aspects of care and social care to promote continuity of care within the residential care setting.
- Collect, collate and report information, maintaining accurate resident's record
- Assess needs and comfort of residents through observation, respond to the individual's changing signs, if necessary instigate emergency procedure
- Establish and maintain effective communication with families of our residents with empathy and sensitivity. Sharing sensitive information with parents/carer
- Up to date knowledge and evidence based practice of clinical care procedures/principles.
- Co-operate with other members of the multidisciplinary team to facilitate good working relationship
- To maintain a network between other professional
- To be conversant with and work with the guidelines/policies of Seaside Care Homes Ltd.
- To assist in data collection as require
- To assist the Home Managers in the monitoring and evaluation of the service
- Ability to organise and prioritise own workload, and delegate to junior staff.
- To be aware of hostile situations or environments and meeting with verbal or physical aggression.
- Answers and deals with telephone calls/message
- To teach assess and support Care Support Workers in their roles.
- Take part in supervision of staff
- To maintain and update competency folders for staff ensuring competencies up to date
- Ensure medication is given according to policy/ safe practice and that sufficient supplies are maintained/ordered
MUST be a Registered Nurse with a NMC Pin Number within the UK.
