An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an ambitious, values-driven leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as Assistant Headteacher at the recently founded independent SEMH secondary school in Fareham, Hampshire. This role is central to shaping the strategic direction of our school driving achievement in mathematics and also leading our SEND team ensuring that students are best supported in their learning both academic and social

The successful candidate will work closely with the Headteacher and Governors to deliver an ambitious vision for our students, staff and wider school community

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strategic leadership with the ability to set direction and inspire others
  • Expertise in developing a maths curriculum which is broad enough to cater for a wide range of abilities
  • Expertise in teaching of maths and the ability to mentor non-specialists in the delivery of the maths curriculum
  • Ability to lead and mange the delivery of the requirements laid down in each students EHCP and to be able to quality assure the standard of that delivery across the school
  • Experience in conducting EHCP reviews in a timely and professional manner using the support of the SEND team
