Accounts Assistant - Southampton
Office based - Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
An awesome opportunity to join our busy finance team in our Southampton office.
The successful candidate plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Company's financial processes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Sales ledger duties, including raising invoices; processing and reconciliations.
- Responding promptly with any customer queries raised on invoices
- Prepare credit notes as required and post to SAGE
- Dealing with any customer queries
- Assisting with credit control and chasing outstanding payments
- Purchase ledger duties, including invoice processing and reconciliations.
- Dealing with queries on postings from suppliers
- Reconciliation of supplier statements with balance on purchase ledger
- Posting receipts and payments to sales and purchase ledger
- Providing general administration support to the finance team.
We're looking for individuals who have:
- Previous experience in accounts including reconciliation
- A good working knowledge of SAGE 50
- AAT qualification is desirable
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when necessary, ensuring priorities and deadlines are met.
- Ability to write and speak with ease
- Excellent computer literacy skills - able to confidently use Microsoft Excel, SAGE, and Outlook
