About Dimensions Care

At Dimensions Care we believe that children who have experienced trauma in early life can go on to be successful adults if they have a safe, secure environment where they can be supported to thrive.

Our children’s homes provide a loving space for children aged 4-17 with Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs, where they can understand their trauma and learn to trust adults again. The activities we offer allow children to gain confidence, broaden their horizons and learn life skills in the care of trusted caregivers.

“Working at Dimensions Care has given me a greater work-life balance. Every day is so different and I am getting to challenge myself, learning new hobbies such as fishing and really enjoying spending time with the kids. The family environment is warm and there is always laughter and fun to be had!”

Why join our care team?

We operate a therapeutic approach that helps our young people to process their trauma in a safe, loving environment. When they arrive with us, many of our children are vulnerable and display challenging behaviour. As one of our care workers, you’ll be trained to understand how children can be affected by experiences and how they shape their actions and responses.

We also invest in your development, allowing you to build a career, gain qualifications and progress through different roles so you can see the impact your work has on the lives of vulnerable young people.

Our Services

We provide residential care for children and young people with Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs. We work in line with the DDP (Dyadic Developmental Practice) model of care, a framework for supporting children to recover from trauma through positive parenting and support. This is supplemented by bespoke therapeutic interventions as required.

Our Homes

Our two Ofsted-approved children’s homes – The Nest and The Burrows – provide safety and security for children who are referred to us. They are warm, loving environments where our carers can build relationships with the children through activities, quality time and therapy. We're also excited to be opening another home soon, called The Den.
